Is Treuhander a licensed fiduciary?
Treuhander is a software service plus named Swiss CFOs. For certified annual accounts we work with licensed fiduciary partners — bookable optionally for CHF 500 per year.
Which accounting standards does Treuhander support?
CO (Swiss Code of Obligations) for all plans. Swiss GAAP FER from the Business plan. IFRS on request (Enterprise).
Which banks is Treuhander compatible with?
All Swiss banks via ISO 20022 / camt format. Direct API integration for UBS, PostFinance, Raiffeisen, ZKB, BEKB, Migros Bank, Valiant, AKB, SGKB, BCGE. Others on request.
What is the difference from accounting software?
Accounting software are tools you operate yourself. Treuhander is a service — AI posts entries, a human reviews, you see the result. You do not learn a new tool.
Who is my point of contact for questions?
A named Swiss CFO, reachable by email and phone during business hours. The Business plan additionally includes a priority SLA.
What happens if an error occurs in the accounts?
Our AI posts most of your receipts ready for approval. Entries with lower confidence land automatically in the review queue and are checked by the named Swiss CFO before approval. In addition, the CFO reviews your balance sheet and P&L on a monthly basis to verify correct categorisation and presentation. Should an error nonetheless occur, we correct it at our expense and proactively inform you. You can see every posting in the dashboard and query it at any time.
Who is liable if something goes wrong?
We are liable for platform availability, security of your data, and the correct functioning of the AI suggestions under T&C §8. Final approval of each booking — and thus the legal responsibility for the bookkeeping — remains with the client under the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), as Swiss law provides for Software-as-a-Service. We are expressly not a traditional fiduciary with power of attorney and fiduciary liability (see T&C §2.2), and are therefore not subject to the fiduciary confidentiality duty under CO Art. 398. We nonetheless follow it voluntarily: your data remains confidential, is used exclusively for your accounting, and is never shared with third parties — secured through nDSG compliance, ISO 27001, and hosting exclusively on Swiss servers.
Can I switch or cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel monthly, no minimum term. Upon cancellation you receive all data in open formats (CSV, PDF, ISO 20022) for handover to your next fiduciary or software. Within the first 90 days our money-back guarantee also applies.
How does switching from my current fiduciary work?
We take over at any time, not only at quarter or year end. From the old system we need: opening balance plus year-to-date P&L for the current fiscal year. We collect data in the usual formats (Abacus, Sage, Bexio, Banana and others) and import it in approximately two weeks. Switching at year end is organisationally easiest — but possible at any time.
What happens if I outgrow my plan — more receipts or more employees?
Nothing breaks, and there are no hidden overage fees. We monitor your volume and manage the plan size for you: if you consistently exceed your plan, we get in touch, discuss moving to the right plan, and announce the price adjustment transparently — before it applies. It works the same way down: if your volume drops for good, we move you to a smaller plan. Plan size is based on employees and document volume — together they drive the AI processing.
